$4,000 of Drugs Seized in Linthicum Traffic Stop

Police arrested a Baltimore man after a traffic stop yielded heroin and marijuana.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Baltimore man early Friday, after officers seized more than $4,000 in drugs from the vehicle during a traffic stop in Linthicum.

Shortly after 1 a.m., an officer made a routine traffic stop near Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard and Nursery Road. According to police, the officer "developed probable cause" to search the vehicle and found 21 capsules of heroin and 196 grams of packaged marijuana.

Police estimated the value of the drugs at $4,100 and also seized the man's vehicle.

The officer arrested Albert Lee Jones IV, 30, and charged him with drug possession, drug possession with intent to distribute, marijuana possession and marijuana possession with intent to distribute.
