5 Kids Abducted Momentarily, Van Stolen In Glen Burnie: Police

A man stole a van with five kids inside, police said. A report noted that officers quickly found the children, but the van is still missing.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Police said a man on Monday stole a van from Glen Burnie with five children inside. Authorities noted that they searched the area with officers on the ground and a helicopter in the sky.

A caller spotted the unattended kids minutes later near Ordnance Road and Maryland Route 10, an incident report added. Police explained that they recovered the children but couldn't find the van.

Officials informed that it is a 2000 gray Honda Odyssey with Maryland tag number 2EP9754. The van has front and rear damage, the press release mentioned.

Officers indicated that they took the call around 10:54 p.m. in the parking lot of Giant Food, located at 6636 Ritchie Highway. Police described the suspect as a bald, older Black man who has no facial hair and wore all black clothing.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department asked anybody with information to call 410-222-6135.
