$50K Winning Scratch Ticket Surprises Glen Burnie Woman

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A 54-year-old Glen Burnie woman who calls herself "Miracles Happen" couldn't believe her luck when the scratch-off ticket she bought brought her $50,000. She popped into the Royal Farms in Millersville to grab a cup of coffee and decided on a whim to buy a scratch ticket.

As she played the ticket, she was "shocked." She found four automatic-win four-leaf clover symbols with $5,000 prizes underneath. She also found a 3X symbol.

“I just couldn’t believe when I saw $10,000 under that symbol,” she said. “That’s when it really got freaky.”

The first thing the Glen Burnie woman did was called her sister who insisted on seeing the ticket for proof, the Maryland Lottery shared. This lucky mom and grandma plans to use some of the winnings to "buy something nice" for her family and plans to save the rest.
