Police Report Acquaintance Robbery in Marley Station Bathroom

In a separate incident, a 4-year-old girl was taken to the Johns Hopkins Children's Center after she fell in Linthicum on Thursday evening.

Glen Burnie: Robbery

Two men allegedly robbed a 19-year-old man Thursday afternoon in Marley Station Mall. The victim said he knew one of the suspects and police said they believe he was targeted.

Anne Arundel County police responded to the mall in the 7900 block of Ritchie Highway at about 3 p.m. Thursday for a reported robbery, according to a police press release.

Officers spoke with the victim who said he met up with an acquaintance and another man that he did not know at the mall, according to the release. The victim said when he went into the mall's upper level restrooms, the suspects followed him, assaulted him and took his property and an undisclosed amount of cash from his pockets.

The suspects ran from the bathroom and were last seen running through the mall parking lot in the direction of Americana Circle, police said. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the men.

This was not a random act of violence, police said.

Linthicum: Fall

Anne Arundel County fire and rescue crews responded to the area of Andover Road and North Court in Linthicum at 7:45 p.m. Thursday for a reported fall, according to fire spokesman Capt. James Rostek.

Medics transported a 4-year-old girl by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Children's Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries, Rostek said.
