Annapolis Beer Week Announces Bicycle 2 Beer Event

Proceeds benefit local Race Across America team, Bike Like A Girl.

The first Bicycle 2 Beer event will be held at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville on April 18 as part of Annapolis Beer Week’s third annual Beer Run.

Cyclists will meet at the fairgrounds starting at 9 a.m., complete their ride and then have entry to the Beer Run festival, which includes live entertainment, food, a 5K run, a shorter fun run and, of course, more than 40 varieties of beer. The event will include both 14-mile and 30-mile scenic bike rides around the Crownsville/Davidsonville area with members of Bike Like A Girl.

As the second eight-woman team in Race Across America history, Bike Like A Girl will compete in the world-recognized race starting on June 20 in Oceanside, CA, and finishing at City Dock in Annapolis. Proceeds for Bicycle 2 Beer will benefit their mission to raise money and awareness in support of empowering girls and women through cycling.
