Brooklyn Park Fire Sends One to Hospital

An unidentified male was transported to Bayview Medical Center with serious, life-threatening injuries Monday after a Brooklyn Park house fire, officials said.

Anne Arundel County fire and rescue workers responded to a blaze at a single-family home in the 4500 block of Ritchie Highway at about noon Monday, according to fire spokesman Capt. James Rostek.

It took firefighters 20 minutes to get the blaze under control. Rostek said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
