BWMC Launches 'March Maintenance'
To coincide with NCAA March Madness, Baltimore Washington Medical Center has partnered with Bill Bateman's Bistro to launch "March Maintenance" in an effort to help area residents keep up with their annual physicals.

As March begins and people start to fill out NCAA brackets, (BWMC) hopes you'll fill out their "March Maintenance" brackets—highlighting health screenings and tests that they say should be done annually.
The brackets are broken out by sex and age range, reminding men and women about the tests that should be done every year in addition to their physical. Men in their 20s should receive sexually transmitted disease, blood pressure and tobacco, drug and alcohol screenings annually, according to the bracket.
Women in their 40s should be screened for diabetes, depression and weight, receive vaccines for tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis and receive heart attack and stroke prevention counseling each year, BWMC recommends.

Momeni will discuss the importance of having an annual physical and will review current screening guidelines and recommendations for age-appropriate testing, according to an event flier.
