California Teen Faces Prostitution Charges

Police said the 19-year-old woman allegedly was using Linthicum-area hotels to house prostitutes.

On Tuesday, Anne Arundel County police arrested a California woman who is accused of using Linthicum-area hotels to house prostitutes.

Shkoyia Michelle Lomack, 19, of Sacramento, CA, was charged with human trafficking compensation, prostitution business and prostitution and other charges.

According to a police press release, officers conducted an investigation at about 7 p.m. Tuesday into an anonymous tip about a prostitution ring in Linthicum.

Detectives learned that an Internet advertisement was being used as a front for a prostitution business being operated out of a hotel room in the area, police said.

Detectives from the Special Enforcement Section’s Vice Unit recently have been working to combat prostitution in the BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport area, according to the Maryland Gazette.
