Christy Callahan Joins Staff at Oasis Mental Health

Anne Arundel County native trained to meet the mental health care needs of patients ages 5 to adult.

Christy A. Callahan, of Glen Burnie, is a new board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner at Oasis: The Center for Mental Health in Annapolis.

She also works in the same capacity in the Psychiatric Emergency Department at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Previously, Callahan was a nurse at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, where she received awards for excellence. She gained clinical experience in mental health care at facilities in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland, and is trained to meet the mental health care needs of patients ages 5 to adult.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and a master’s degree in psychiatric nursing from Drexel University College in Philadelphia.

A native of Anne Arundel County, Callahan enjoys runs with her dog, crab feasts, Orioles and Ravens games and spending time with family.

Oasis Mental Health, at 175 Admiral Cochrane Dr., was founded in 2004 with a mission to provide timely access to professional mental health care for children, adolescents and adults.
