County to Light Christmas Tree at Glen Burnie Town Center Dec. 1

The event features holiday treats, Bruster's ice cream, discounted ice skating, and the Chick-Fil-a cow.

From Anne Arundel County: County Executive Steve Schuh is inviting citizens from across Anne Arundel County to help kick off the Christmas season with the lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Glen Burnie Town Center on North Crain Highway.

“The Christmas season is a special time for friends and family,” said Schuh. “I encourage all our citizens to join us as we kick off this magical season here in Anne Arundel County."

The ceremony will held from 5:30-7:30 PM, December 1st in the main square of the town center. Families will treated to holiday treats, Bruster’s ice cream, discounted ice skating, and the Chick-Fil-a cow. Children will also be treated to “Hot Chocolate with a Cop” with members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
The holiday music for the ceremony will be provided by the Renegades, the Glen Burnie High School Band, and the Freetown Elementary Chorus. The event is sponsored by Anne Arundel County Government, the North County Chamber of Commerce, and members of the Glen Burnie business community.
