CROP Hunger Walk Benefits Maryland Food Bank
The hunger education and fundraising event will take participants on a 4.6-mile walk on the Baltimore Annapolis Trail Oct. 11.

The Anne Arundel County CROP Hunger Walk, sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local community volunteers from the United Church of Christ of Annapolis, will begin in Severna Park on Oct. 11, according to a news release.
Organizers say 20 to 25 percent of money raised at the interfaith hunger education and fundraising event will benefit the Maryland Food Bank with the remaining funds benefitting the global hunger initiative.
All Anne Arundel County area churches, public and private organizations and residents are encouraged to form walking teams to raise money for the CROP Hunger Walk, which will run from 1 to 5 p.m. that Sunday. Anyone interested in walking can register online or contact the walk coordinator at (443)949-4476 or Marlene.Plumley@gmail.com.
