Drugs, Guns Confiscated In Glen Burnie Incidents: Police

Two Memorial Day incidents in Glen Burnie led police to confiscate heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, and guns.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A couple of gun- and drug-related incidents unfolded Memorial Day in Glen Burnie. At approximately 8:32 p.m. Monday, Anne Arundel County police officers stopped a gray Volkswagen Jetta in the area of Dorsey Road at McCormick Road. A suspect in the vehicle, 18-year-old Kyonte Jay Crowder of Baltimore, was arrested after officers found him with 7 grams (49 capsules) of suspected heroin, 5 grams of suspected crack cocaine and less than 10 grams of marijuana, the department noted.

Also on Monday at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers stopped a black 2011 Cadillac CTS in the area of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Dorsey Road in Glen Burnie. Officers searched the vehicle and found a loaded Polymer 80 Glock-style 9mm handgun without a serial number with an extended magazine in the passenger compartment, according to a police report. The driver and passenger were both prohibited from owning a gun. Keteyian Elexamis Reynolds, 20, of Fort Washington, and Sedric Marcellus Fletcher, 20, also of Fort Washington, were arrested and charged accordingly.

On Tuesday at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers attempted to stop a silver four-door Acura in the area of Old Mill Boulevard and Chalet Drive. The driver refused to stop and an item was thrown from the vehicle. Officers didn't pursue the vehicle, but a lookout was broadcast for the car and the officers returned to see what was thrown out, the department noted. They found a loaded FN 509 9mm handgun with a round chambered located along the road. Record checks indicated the firearm was reported stolen out of Howard County April 15. Officers did not locate the vehicle or the driver.
