Eight Pets Found Dead in Glen Burnie House Fire
Crews fought a fire in Glen Burnie for an hour on Thursday night.

Two people were injured and eight pets were found dead in a house fire in Glen Burnie on Thursday night, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
According to Division Chief Keith Swindle, at approximately 9:15 p.m., crews responded to a fire in a townhouse on the 6400 block of Lamplighter Ridge. For an hour, 43 firefighters battled the blaze, and one firefighter was sent to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor burns.
A crew transported another 60-year-old man to BWMC with minor burns and smoke inhalation.
Crews discovered seven cats and one dog dead inside the home.
Two nearby townhouses also sustained damage. Swindle said investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, and the department does not have an estimate of damages at this time.
