Friendly's Patron Stabbed During Robbery Sunday Night
Police said three men robbed the restaurant located in the 400 block of Crain Highway South.

A customer who resisted demands to give up his belongings was stabbed during the robbery of a Glen Burnie Friendly's restaurant Sunday night, police said.
According to a police press release, officers responded to the restaurant in the 400 block of Crain Highway South at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday for a reported robbery.
Once on the scene, officers spoke with several witnesses who said at least two men, one armed with a handgun and another armed with a knife, entered the restaurant and announced a robbery.

After preliminary investigation, police learned that the men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business as well as money and personal property from patrons in the restaurant. One customer appeared to resist the men and suffered a laceration to the torso.
According to Anne Arundel County Fire Batallion Chief Steve Thompson, the patron, a 54-year-old man, was stabbed during the robbery and taken to the Shock Trauma Center with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

Police said the men fled the area with another man, who was outside the businesses and possibly acting as a lookout.
Officers, a K-9 unit and an aviation unit searched the area but were unable to find the men, police said.
Two other victims, who were hit by one of the men, did not require medical treatment.
