UPDATED: Glen Burnie Area Under Coastal Flood Warning (Poll)

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a coastal flood warning for Anne Arundel County that is expected to last through noon Friday.

NWS said a tidal anomoly of two to two-and-a-half feet above normal is possible within an hour of the next high tide, causing "moderate shoreline inundation."

According to the NWS website, a coastal flood warning means flooding is occurring or imminent. Coastal residents in the area that is under warning should be alert for rising water and take the appropriate action.
