Glen Burnie Area Basketball Teams Continue Playoff Run
Both Glen Burnie and North County high schools won their regional quarterfinal games Tuesday night, advancing to the next round.
In a rematch of the game that put Mike Rudd's Gophers out of the title run last year, will face defending state champions North Point on Thursday night at home after beating 71-43 on Tuesday.
After 11 days without a game, the Gophers were a bit rusty for the first seven minutes of the game, according to The Capital, but shook it off soon after that.
According to the MPSSAA website, also won their game Tuesday night against , beating them 79-70. Old Mill beat the Knights twice this season and North County seized the opportunity to beat them in the regional quarterfinals, according to The Capital.

North County will face on Thursday, in January.
Last year, Glen Burnie traveled to Waldorf to face North Point in the 4A East Regional Championship . North Point went on to win the state championship.

Glen Burnie hosts North Point this year and North County will travel to Gambrills to face Arundel on Thursday, with both games starting at 7 p.m.
