Glen Burnie Hosts Location for Gun Turn-In Day
Anne Arunel County police will be accepting unwanted guns at the Glen Burnie Improvement Association on May 11.

Anne Arundel County police are accepting unwanted guns on May 11 at the Glen Burnie Improvement Association (GBIA) building, as part of the first annual statewide gun turn-in.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., police will accept handguns, rifles and shotguns, no questions asked, at the GBIA building at 19 Crain Highway.
This is one of two locations in Anne Arundel County, with Annapolis police also taking guns at the headquarters from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 199 Taylor Avenue.
State Attorney General Doug Gansler organized the statewide initiative, and 24 jurisdictions throughout Maryland will be accepting guns Saturday.
"Any Marylander who has a gun that is no longer wanted will be able to get rid of it safely, no questions asked," Gansler said in a statement. "I want to thank the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the many other local law enforcement agencies and the Maryland State Police for participating in this gun turn-in event and making our communities safer as a result."
