Glen Burnie Ice Cream Shop Closes
The Sugar Fix, which opened about a year ago, has closed its doors, according to the group's Facebook page.

On Monday, The Sugar Fix notified its Facebook followers that it had to close its doors.
"We are sad to report that we had to close down The Sugar Fix. Thank you to those of you that have supported us. But we are still open for MVA tag and title work. Coming soon we will be buying gold," the store wrote on Facebook.

With the exception of businesses like , The Sugar Fix was one of the few independently owned ice cream shops in Glen Burnie.
“We are hoping that being independent is exactly what separates us from the corporate chains and gives that personal touch that seems to be missing in so many company-owned businesses,” co-owner Scott Arruda told Patch last year.
