Glen Burnie Man Charged in Fatal Inner Harbor Stabbing
Baltimore City police charged a second man after the fatal stabbing on April 7.

A Glen Burnie man who was initially thought to be a peace-maker was arrested in the stabbing death of a restaurant worker at Baltimore's Inner Harbor, according to a report in The Baltimore Sun.
Baltimore City police charged Derek Schuler, 23, of Glen Burnie, in connection with the April 7 killing of 20-year-old Anthony Black. Black, who was getting off work at the Cheesecake Factory restaurant, confronted two men for talking to his girlfriend. That led to a fight and eventual stabbing, according to the report.
Police initially thought the fight was only between Black and Matthew Darby, of Frederick, and arrested Darby at the time of the incident. But police are now saying Schuler also fatally stabbed Black, reports The Sun.

Police reported that Schuler was not initially arrested because they believed he was breaking up the fight.
Online court records show police charged Schuler with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second degree assault, and wielding a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
