Glen Burnie Resident Receives McDonald's Management Award

Anna Gomez, of Glen Burnie, received the Ray Kroc Award last month, recognizing her for work as a McDonald's restaurant manager.

Glen Burnie resident Anna Gomez received the Ray Kroc Award for 2011, placing her among the top 1 percent of McDonald's restaurant managers.

The Ray Kroc Award, named after the company's founder, is based on a manager's commitment to people and recognizes his or her contribution to the company.

“I am proud to pay tribute to one of the best and brightest managers in our system," said Scott Rardin, owner and operator of the McDonald’s restaurant where Gomez works, in a press release. “Anna plays such a critical role in delivering a truly outstanding restaurant experience for our guests and embodies the characteristics of the elite Ray Kroc Award winner.”

Ray Kroc Award recipients receive a prize package including a $2,500 cash award from McDonald’s Corp. Gomez is the only 2011 recipient of Ray Koc Award in the greater Baltimore area, according to the release.

The Ray Kroc Award is based on achieving superior results in selected areas of performance including quality, service, cleanliness, people and sales. The Ray Kroc Award manager must also show a decrease in employee turnover and significant and steady sales increases, according to the release.
