A child found "Tuscany" Thursday on River Road with a heavy chain hanging from her neck.

Anne Arundel County Animal Control is asking residents for help finding the owners of a small female goat found Thursday in Linthicum.

According to a police press release, an 11-year-old child found the goat, named "Tuscany," wandering on River Road. The child's family kept the goat overnight and contacted animal control the next day.

The goat had a chain weighing more than 23 pounds hanging from and embedded in her neck. The family took Tuscany to Animal Control to have the chain surgically removed.
