Judge Denies Jones' Second Restraining Order Request
The Anne Arundel County Council will begin the process of replacing Councilman Daryl Jones when he reports to federal prison next week.

A judge denied a request from Councilman Daryl Jones' attorney that would prevent the Anne Arundel County Council from replacing Jones when he reports to federal prison next week, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Retired Court of Special Appeals Judge Raymond G. Thieme Jr. ruled against the request for a restraining order by Jones' attorney Wednesday, the Sun reported.
On Tuesday the declaring Jones’ District 1 seat vacant, after asserting that his prison sentence equates to a change of residency. The ordinance passed 6-0 with Jones recusing himself from the vote.
