Local Blood Drive Scheduled For Sept. 23 At AAMC

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A blood drive hosted by the Northern Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce will be held Sept. 23 at Anne Arundel Medical Center's Blood Donor Center. All blood donated at the center remains in the community. Every year, more than 3,000 AAMC patients receive lifesaving blood transfusions.

To donate blood, individuals must be:

• Between 17 and 74 years old; 16 with parental consent;
• In good health;
• Weigh at least 110 pounds;
• Can give blood while taking most medications.
