Local Scholarship Goes to 3 Headed for UMBC
Three students headed for UMBC earned local technology scholarships at the awards night for Glen Burnie High School.

Three students at Glen Burnie High School are headed to the University of Maryland Baltimore County with the help of $1,000 scholarships, thanks to a few Glen Burnie alumni.
In March, Patch reported Greg Skipper–GBHS class of 1998–was working to organize the second year of the Glen Burnie Technology and Innovation Scholarship.
On May 23, three students were named the 2013 recipients of the award, after a months-long selection process by a committee made of former students and current faculty.
Justin Mohammed plans to attend UMBC for biomedical engineering, Luis Ramos-Peralta will go for engineering and Takreem Zulfiqar will seek a pre-pharmacy education.
