Man Dies from Stab Wounds, Charged Last Week with Burglary

Romanda Lee Young, 41, of Baltimore was pronounced dead Tuesday after he was found suffering from several stab wounds. Young was arrested on burglary charges in Pumphrey last week.

A Baltimore man died after being found suffering from stab wounds during an altercation in Pumphrey on Tuesday evening, according to police.

Romanda Lee Young, 41, of the 200 block of Bishop Avenue in Baltimore was taken to Harbor Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. in connection with the burglary of a home in the 200 block of Bolivar Avenue in Pumphrey.

According to a police press release, officers responded on Tuesday at 5:48 p.m. to the 300 block of Berlin Avenue in Pumphrey for a reported stabbing. When they arrived, they found Young lying on the sidewalk and suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper torso.

Homicide detectives determined that Young was involved in an altercation with another man and was stabbed during the incident. Police say they have developed a suspect and the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.

No charges had been filed as of 9 a.m. Wednesday and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective Shelly Guy at 410-222-3458.

Young's death is the second homicide in the county this year, according to the Maryland Gazette.
