Man Pepper Sprayed, Car Hit With Pole During Road Rage Incident

A man traveling with a woman and a child was assaulted with pepper spray and their vehicle hit with a wooden pole by another driver.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A road rage incident involving a wooden pole, pepper spray and a child unfolded Sunday shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the area of Route 648 and Maple Road East in Glen Burnie.

A 22-year-old man was traveling with a 21-year-old woman and a child, according to a police report. Another driver engaged in a road rage incident with the victim along Route 648. Both vehicles stopped at Maple Road at which time the driver of the other vehicle, 41-year-old David Craig Bilenki of Brooklyn Park, got out of his vehicle and hit the victim's vehicle several times with a wooden pole.

When the driver tried to leave his vehicle, Bilenki sprayed him with pepper spray. Bilenki then hopped back in his vehicle and took off. The victims were treated at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel.

According to the police department, Bilenki was arrested at his home in Brooklyn Park. The wooden pole and pepper spray used in the assault were taken as evidence.
