Mission BBQ Of Maryland Donates $350K To Wreaths Across America
Wreaths Across America is known for its annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and across the country.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Mission BBQ, which is headquartered in Glen Burnie, recently donated $350,420 to the national nonprofit Wreaths Across America (WAA). The donation will help sponsor more than 23,000 veterans' wreaths to remember fallen U.S. service members during the 2020 holiday season.
Wreaths Across America is known for its annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery and coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 2,100 locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
In December 2019, an estimated 18,000 wreaths were placed on the headstones of veterans laid to rest at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville for National Wreaths Across America Day. Members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department assisted Wreaths Across America with the delivery and unloading of the wreaths.
