Murder Trial Begins Monday in 2006 Dentist Slaying

Dante Jeter, 25, will stand trial facing charges in connection with the September 2006 murder of Glen Burnie dentist Albert Ro.

The murder trial of a Baltimore man facing charges in the death of a Glen Burnie dentist was set to begin Monday morning in Annapolis, according to The Capital.

Dante A. Jeter, 25, is facing first-degree murder charges in the September 2006 slaying of Dr. Albert Ro.

Shontay Joyner Hickman, 36, who also was charged in the death, in February and received a life sentence. Hickman, who was Ro's dental assistant, is Jeter's cousin.

In February, Hickman admitted to stealing $17,000 from Ro's dental office and killing him to cover it up.

Jeter, of the 1600 block of East 30th Street in Baltimore, and Hickman were arrested in 2010 in connection with the murder.
