OT National Hero Of The Year Award Goes To Glen Burnie Employee
Occupational therapist Kellie Tysor with BAYADA Home Health in Glen Burnie has been named the OT National Hero of the Year.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — When the coronavirus pandemic hit, occupational therapist Kellie Tysor with BAYADA Home Health in Glen Burnie felt compelled to help out to isolated seniors by creating an "adopt a grandparent" donation program that ended up providing care packages to more than 500 local seniors. Her kindheartedness coupled with her skills, compassion and dedication led Tysor to be chosen as the OT National Hero of the Year by BAYADA Home Health Care.
“Kellie stepped in and met as many needs as she could, every day. If something needs to be done, Kellie’s going to do it," BAYADA Clinical Manager Angela Caniglia said in a news release.
Chosen from among thousands of nominees, Tysor accepted the award before nearly 2,600 employees at the company’s annual awards event, which was held virtually due to the pandemic on May 20.
