Parents Sue Hospital for Malpractice After Son Loses Legs

Eric Flynn Jr., 6, had both of his legs amputated last year and his parents say that poor treatment at Baltimore Washington Medical Center is to blame, according to the Maryland Gazette.

Glen Burnie parents have filed a lawsuit against the Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC) after their 6-year-old son's legs were amputated at the hospital last year, according to the Maryland Gazette.

According to the Gazette, the couple claims in the suit that Eric Flynn Jr.'s legs were amputated because a BWMC doctor didn't test for infection while the hospital defends the treatment provided.

, Eric's legs were amputated last December in an effort to save his life from a Group A strep infection. A benefit was held in October to help raise money for Eric's medical bills and the many sets of prosthetic legs he will need over the years.
