Police and Fire Incidents: Several Drug Arrests, Arson Investigation

A man attempted to steal cigarettes from a Linthicum gas station early Monday and "verbally threatened the store clerk with a knife," police said.

Glen Burnie: Arson
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is asking anyone with information about a Thursday morning fire, which officials have determined was intentionally set, at in Glen Burnie to come forward.

Brooklyn Park: Armed robbery arrests
Anne Arundel County police arrested three men Jan. 11 in connection with the armed robbery of a 24-year-old man in Glen Burnie.
Officers arrested Brandon Bain, 22, of the 5600 block of Harbor Valley Drive in Brooklyn Park and Jvaughn Smith, 22, and Jquaghn Franklin, 19, of the 1500 block of Lochaber Court in Glen Burnie. Police said in a release the three men were charged with armed robbery, robbery, theft, assault, reckless endangerment and use of a firearm in a violent crime and other charges. In addition, police said Smith was charged with giving a false statement to an officer.

Glen Burnie: Drug arrest
Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man Jan. 10 after executing a warrant related to possible drug activity at his home.
Lawrence William Kolitas, 35, of Glen Burnie was charged with possession with intent to distribute oxycodone, suboxone, Xanax and methadone, possession of somatropin and other drug and gun charges.

Brooklyn Park/Linthicum: Drug arrests
Anne Arundel County police arrested and charged eight people with “various drug-related offenses” between Jan. 4-10, according to a press release.
They seized more than $2,700 worth of drugs and about $6,200 cash in four separate incidents. Police did not release information on two additional arrests.
