Armed Robber of Taxi Driver Still At Large: Police

A Glen Burnie taxi driver said a man in a mask got into his cab, pulled out a gun and demanded cash.

Glen Burnie, MD — Anne Arundel County Police have so far been unable to locate whomever robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in Glen Burnie in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to police reports, officers were called to the 6400 block of Bricktown Circle around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an armed robbery of a taxi driver.

Officers met with the victim, who is employed by New Harbor Transport. The driver said that he arrived in the area to pick up a fare when an unknown man hopped into the cab.

Once inside the cab, the man showed a handgun and demanded money. The driver reportedly complied and handed over cash, and the suspect fled on foot.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The only description of the suspect the driver was able to give was that it was a man wearing dark clothing and a black mask.
