Police Arrest Brooklyn Park Man on Drug Charges

In a separate incident, a suspect attempted to rob a man in the 7800 block of Tall Pines Court.

Brooklyn Park: Drug arrest

After discovering drugs during a traffic stop, Anne Arundel County police officers conducted a search and seizure warrant at the home of a Brooklyn Park man and arrested him on drug charges.

Damon Antonio Martin, 36, of the 5500 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana.

According to a police press release, officers pulled over Martin at about 2 a.m. Sunday in the area of Ritchie Highway and Walton Avenue in Brooklyn Park. Officers found several grams of suspected marijuana and conducted a search and seizure warrant at Martin's residence.

In total, officers confiscated 377 grams of suspected marijuana, $435 in cash and the Chevrolet Tahoe in which Martin was pulled over.

Glen Burnie: Attempted robbery

Police say a suspect attempted to rob a man as he walked home in the 7800 block of Tall Pines Court.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Highland Drive in Glen Burnie at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday for a reported attempted robbery.

Officers spoke with a man who said he was walking home when an unknown male suspect accosted him and attempted to remove his wallet from his pants.

The victim resisted and hit the suspect several times before the suspect ran in an unknown direction, police said. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
