Police Arrest Glen Burnie Man Accused of Sexually Abusing a Boy

Kurt Singleton, 52, of Glen Burnie, was being held on $500,000 bond as of Friday afternoon. He was charged with numerous sexual and assault charges.

Anne Arundel County Police arrested a Glen Burnie man Wednesday after police say he was caught performing a sex act on a boy earlier this month.

Kurt Melvin Singleton, 52, was charged with sexual abuse of a minor, second-degree sex offense, three counts of third-degree sex offense, three counts of fourth degree sex offense, three counts of second-degree assault and perverted practice, police said.

According to a press release, police said they were informed that a witness walked in on Singleton allegedly performing a sex act upon a boy on Dec. 1. The witness said that both she and Singleton know the boy, police said.

The Criminal Investigation Division's Child Abuse Unit and the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services investigated the claim and learned that Singleton is accused of at least two other acts of sexual misconduct with the same boy, all occurring in the past month at Singleton's home, police said.

Singleton is being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
