Police Arrest Glen Burnie Man in Connection with Columbia Shooting

Howard County police said Eric Brandon Miller, 25, shot a man who was in the process of selling him a large amount of marijuana. The man's accomplice is still at large, police said.

Howard County police arrested a Glen Burnie man in connection with a Jan. 11 drug-related shooting in Columbia. An unidentified accomplice remains at large, according to police.

Eric Brandon Miller, 25, of the 1300 block of Whitman Drive in Glen Burnie was reportedly charged with first- and second-degree assault. Police said he is accused of shooting Marcus Lee, 20, of Columbia, who was listed in stable condition as of Wednesday afternoon.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the store in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road at about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 11 and discovered that Lee had just been shot and ran into the store for help. Through an investigation, officers reportedly determined that the shooting had taken place inside a car during a drug deal.

Police said they believe that Lee was selling a large amount of marijuana to Miller and an accomplice when Miller shot Lee once. Police said Lee ran into the Sam's Mart and Miller and the accomplice drove away.

Police have not determined the identity of the accomplice. Anyone with information is asked to call Howard County police at 410-313-STOP.
