Police Arrest Teen After 2 Purse Snatchings in Glen Burnie
Police say a Severn teen stole purses from two women near the Giant grocery store in Glen Burnie on Monday.

Anne Arundel County police arrested an 18-year-old in connection with two purse snatchings that occurred within in hour on Monday, according to a department press release.
Around 11 a.m., a man approached a 74-year-old woman as she was walking home from the Giant grocery store on the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway. The man grabbed her purse, which was carrying money, and ran through a nearby apartment complex.
Arriving officers found the purse without the money, police said.
At 11:46 a.m., as officers were dealing with the initial incident, a similar event was reported to police, in the Giant parking lot.
According to police, a man approached a 66-year-old woman, stole her purse from her shopping cart and ran northbound on Ritchie Highway.Â
Officers in the scene set up a perimeter and found the suspect near Shelly Road. Police said this led to a brief foot chase, until officers caught and arrested the man.
According to online court records, police charged Milton Arthur Williams, 18, of Severn, with robbery, assault, possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
