Police Arrest Teen on Drug Charges

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Brooklyn Park teen on drug charges Wednesday night.

The 17-year-old Brooklyn Park boy was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana.

According to a police press release, officers were conducting surveillance of loitering and possible drug activity at the 10th Avenue Park in Brooklyn Park at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers saw a group of people loitering by the baseball fields and approached them. Detectives seized 30 individual bags of suspected marijuana—with a total weight of about 5.56 grams—from the 17-year-old, police said.
