Police Charge 2 in Glen Burnie Burglary

Two Glen Burnie men were arrested in connection with the burglary of Bill's Auto Parts.

Anne Arundel County police arrested two Glen Burnie men early Friday morning in connection with the burglary of an auto parts store.

John Lee Herren, 35, of the 1800 block of Tower Road and Robert Joseph Mewshaw, 55, of the 900 block of Langley Road both were charged with fourth-degree burglary and theft under $1,000, according to online court documents.

According to a police press release, officers were in the area of —located in the 7900 block of Solley Road—at about 3 a.m. Friday when they noticed suspicious activity in the parking lot of the business, which was closed.

Police said they saw a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with two occupants inside leaving the parking lot and stopped it to investigate. Officers said they saw items in the truck that had possibly been taken from the business, according to the release.

Police contacted the owner of Bill's and verified that the items had been stolen from his store.
