Police Charge Glen Burnie Teen in July 1 Home Invasion

Police say forensic evidence led to the arrest of a 17-year-old from Glen Burnie.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie teen on Tuesday in connection with a home invasion robbery, according to a department press release.

On July 1, police reported that a male suspect entered the rear of a home on the 200 block of Mary Court, approached the 82-year-old male victim, displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspect took money and jewelry before running away, according to police.

Investigators recovered forensic evidence at the scene and learned information that led to the arrest of a 17-year-old from Glen Burnie who lives down the street from the victim, according to the statement.

Police charged the teen as an adult with armed robbery, robbery, burglary, theft, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and using a firearm in a violent crime, according to online court records.
