Police Charge Man After Allegedly Finding $5K of Marijuana
In separate incidents, police arrested a man in connection with touching a woman inappropriately in Lowe's, and another man with assaulting a friend who tried to break up a fight between the man and his wife.
Brooklyn Park: Drug arrest
Anne Arundel County police arrested a Baltimore man Sunday morning after allegedly finding nearly $5,000 worth of marijuana in his truck during a traffic stop in Brooklyn Park.
Michael Anthony Provenza Jr., 31, of the 100 block of Bristol Avenue in Baltimore was charged with possession of drugs with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs with intent to distribute within 1,000 yards of school property, according to online court documents.

Officers pulled over a 2010 Ford F-150 on Sunday at about 10:15 a.m. on 16th Avenue near Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park for a traffic violation, according to a police press release. Police said Provenza gave police permission to search the truck and they discovered a large amount of suspected marijuana and cash.
Police confiscated about 165 grams of suspected marijuana, with a street value of about $4,960, and $2,045 in cash, according to the release.

Glen Burnie: Sex offense arrest
Police arrested a man accused with touching a woman inappropriately in the Lowe's on Ritchie Highway.
Samuel David Garris, 60, of no fixed address was charged with fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and two counts of trespassing, according to a police press release.
Officers responded to the store located in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway at about noon Saturday for a reported sex offense. A 39-year-old woman told police that she was inside Lowe's when she was accosted by Garris, who allegedly touched her inappropriately and then fled the scene.
Police located Garris across the street a short time later and the victim identified him as the man who allegedly had assaulted her, police said. The woman was not injured during the incident.
Glen Burnie: Assault arrest
Police arrested a Severna Park man after police said he assaulted a friend who attempted to stop him from attacking his wife with a knife.
Tavon Tolson, 28, of the 100 block of Jennings Road in Severna Park was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
Officers responded to the 7900 block of Silent Shadow Court in Glen Burnie at about 9 p.m. Saturday for a reported domestic assault, according to a police press release. Police were told that a man was cut while inside an apartment.
When officers arrived, they said they saw the victim, a 29-year-old man, running down the street in the area of Mountain Ridge apartments. The man told police he received the cuts on his hand when he attempted to stop Tolson from attacking Tolson's wife. While searching the area, witnesses told police that Tolson went to . Officers found him there.
Further investigation revealed that Tolson was intoxicated before he arrived at his wife's residence and the two argued, according to police. Tolson allegedly grabbed a knife when his friend intervened and was cut after taking the knife from Tolson, who then fled the scene.
