Police Find Man Shot to Death in Glen Burnie

Police have not yet charged anyone in an incident that left Ray William Collingnon, 53, dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

A Glen Burnie man was found dead Thursday afternoon from an apparent gunshot to the head, police said.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the 1500 block of Furnace Avenue in Glen Burnie at about 3 p.m. Thursday for a reported shooting and found Ray William Collingnon, 53, dead with an apparent gunshot wound to his head.

Homicide detectives questioned another person who was found in the residence. Police said they have not filed charges and said they believe it is an isolated incident.

Detectives are consulting with the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's Office, police said. The investigation is ongoing.

This is the third reported homicide in northern Anne Arundel County in less than two weeks.

, 41, was stabbed to death on March 27 and on Sunday , 46, was found shot to death. Both incidents occurred in Pumphrey, police said.
