Glen Burnie: Thefts

Police said they arrested a Brooklyn Park man early Tuesday morning in connection with a purse snatching and a theft from a Glen Burnie Walgreens.

George Nicholas Kuespert, 39, of the 600 block of Sunset Strip in Brooklyn Park, was charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft under $1,000, police said.

A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured Monday evening when some fireworks exploded in his hand, fire officials said.

Severn: Attempted robbery

Anne Arundel County police said they arrested and charged a Glen Burnie man in connection with an attempted robbery of a woman at a Wells Fargo bank branch on Sunday.

Police said in a press release that Charles Edward Sawyer, 27, of Glen Burnie, allegedly threatened a woman with a knife as she tried to withdraw money from a drive-thru ATM in the 7800 block of Quarterfield Park Road in Severn.

A wheelchair fire at a senior apartment complex Sunday morning escalated to a three-alarm incident at one point due to heavy smoke, fire officials said.

Brooklyn Park: Drug arrest

After discovering drugs during a traffic stop early Sunday morning, Anne Arundel County police officers conducted a search and seizure warrant at the home of a Brooklyn Park man and arrested him on drug charges.

Damon Antonio Martin, 36, of the 5500 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana and possession of marijuana.

Medics transported a man to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after an accident early Saturday morning.

Linthicum: Fall

Medics transported a 4-year-old girl to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after she fell in the area of Andover Road and North Court in Linthicum at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, fire officials said.

Glen Burnie: Acquaintance robbery

Two men allegedly robbed a 19-year-old man Thursday afternoon in Marley Station Mall. The victim said he knew one of the suspects and police said they believe he was targeted.

Anne Arundel County medics responded to a reported fall at 12:14 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of First Street near the intersection of Marley Avenue in Glen Burnie, according to a fire spokesman.

Firefighters responded at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a fire at the Village at Marley Station apartments, according to a fire spokesman.

Anne Arundel County police are trying to locate Jessica Lynn Lee, 20, of Brooklyn Park, who family members say has been missing since May 8.
