Police: Glen Burnie Home Invasion Possibly Targeted

A man entered a home and robbed an 82-year-old man of cash and jewelry on Monday.

Anne Arundel County police are seeking information about a man who robbed an 82-year-old in his Glen Burnie home on Monday, according to a department press release.

Shortly after 5 p.m., a man entered the rear of a home on the 200 block of Mary Court, approached the resident, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The man took cash and jewelry, according to police.

Arriving officers searched the immediate area, but failed to locate the man.

"Detectives are attempting to identify the suspect, but this is believed to be a targeted incident," said police spokesman Justin Mulcahy.
