Police: Group of Boys Assault, Rob Man

Police arrested three teens in connection with the robbery of a man in Brooklyn Park on Monday afternoon, charging one as an adult.

Anne Arundel County police arrested three teens and are looking for additional suspects after a man said he was assaulted and robbed by a group of eight to 10 boys.

Shaquille Davon Johnson, 16, of the 800 block of Washburn Avenue in Baltimore was charged as an adult with robbery, armed robbery, first-degree assault and other related charges. A 15-year-old boy from Baltimore and a 16-year-old boy from Bowie were charged as juveniles with robbery and second-degree assault.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the area of Seasons Pizza located in the 5500 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park at about 3:40 p.m. Monday for a reported robbery.

Officers spoke with a 31-year-old man who said eight to 10 boys approached him as he stood behind the restaurant smoking a cigarette. He said one of the boys assaulted him with a wooden object while other boys punched and kicked him before taking his belongings.

The boys reportedly fled in a group toward Church Street. Officers searched the area and found three teenage boys in the area of Maggie Street and Alley 63. Police said the victim identified them as being involved in the incident.

Officers searched for additional suspects but were unable to locate them. The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to Harbor Hospital for treatment.
