Police Observe Heroin Deal, Arrest 2 Men

Police arrested two men after reportedly seeing a heroin transaction in Brooklyn Park.

Anne Arundel County police have arrested two men they believe were engaged in a heroin transaction in Brooklyn Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Kevin Charles Brown, 32, of the 6000 block of Amberwood Court in Baltimore, was charged with distribution of heroin, possession with the intent to distribute heroin and possession of heroin. Dale Charles Edge, 30, of the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue in Glen Burnie, was charged with possession of heroin.

According to a police, detectives were conducting surveillance Tuesday in the area of 1st Avenue and Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park due to numerous complaints of drug activity.

Police said they saw Brown and Edge complete a drug transaction and then run from the area when the detectives identified themselves. Police arrested both men after a foot chase.

Police confiscated 21 gel caps of suspected heroin and $226 in cash.
