Police: Man Threatened Salesman With Handgun

Police said they confiscated a Glock .40-caliber handgun, ammunition and a Taser from the home of Jason Drake Vance, 35.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Glen Burnie man Friday night after they say he threatened a door-to-door salesman with a handgun.

Jason Drake Vance, 35, of the 400 block of Pine Way Drive was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an electronic weapon.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the 400 block of Pine Way Drive at about 8:10 p.m. Friday for a report of a man armed with a gun.

Once on the scene, officers spoke with a victim, who said he approached Vance's house attempting to sell newspaper subscriptions. When the victim approached the house, he told police Vance opened the door and waved a handgun at the victim, telling him to leave the property.

The victim ran away and called police. Officers confiscated a Glock .40-caliber handgun, ammunition and a Taser.
