Police Searching for Man Who Stabbed Family Members

A man is suspected of stabbing two men in his family during an argument in Brooklyn Park early Thursday morning.

Police are searching for a man who fled after allegedly stabbing two of his family members during an argument at a home in Brooklyn Park early Thursday morning.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the 5300 block of 4th Street in Brooklyn Park for a report of family violence.

When officers arrived they saw two victims, a 19-year-old man and a 48-year-old man, suffering from minor stab wounds.

After an investigation, police were told that several family members were involved in an argument and asked an adult male family member to leave. Police said the man initially left but returned a short time later and tried to get into the home.

Police said the man got into the home and engaged in another argument, which escalated to violence with the man assaulting the two victims.

Both victims were taken to Harbor Hospital to be treated for not life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the home and had not been located as of 9:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Charges are pending against the man.
