Police Seek Information in Bank Robbery in Glen Burnie

Police are looking for one man who they say attempted to rob two banks in Glen Burnie in two days, succeeding in his second attempt.

Police are seeking information about a bank robbery and attempted bank robbery occurring at two separate banks in Glen Burnie this week.

According to police, at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday, a man at the Severn Savings Bank at 413 Crain Highway S. passed a note to a bank teller demanding money. The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police believe this is the same man who passed a note to a bank teller at the Carrollton Bank located at 427 Crain Highway N.—less than a mile away—on Wednesday asking for money. In that case, when the teller told the man she had no money in her drawer and would need to try another teller, he left without receiving any money.

The suspect, shown in photos released by police, is described as a white male, between 40 and 50 years of age, between 5’10” and 6’ tall and weighing between 200 pounds and 250 pounds. He was wearing a black knit cap and a black jacket.
