Anne Arundel County Police Department Northern District would like to remind community members of typical increases in shed and garage burglaries during the spring season. As we awake from our winter hibernation and prepare for spring lawn maintenance, the opportunity for [thieves] to steal lawn equipment increases. Northern District would like to encourage community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. We [would] also ask that you be mindful of securing sheds and garages with locks to provide a barrier to the opportunistic crimes. This three pronged approach of securing valuables, being aware of suspicious activity, and reporting to the police, will allow us to work collaboratively to make the quality of life in Northern District the best it can be.
