Police: Thefts Lead to Foot Chase Through Marley Station Mall
Police arrested two women after they used burglary tools to enter vehicles in Glen Burnie, then fled from officers.

Anne Arundel County police arrested two women Thursday afternoon after a reported theft from a vehicle led to a foot chase through Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie, according to a department press release.
At about 3:30 p.m., police responded to a reported theft from a vehicle in the parking lot of Marley Station Mall, and a victim told officers two women were seen entering his vehicle with burglary tools, according to the release.
The victim said his wallet and credit cards were missing from the vehicle, and directed police to a black Volkswagen nearby matching the description provided by a witness.
As an offer approached the vehicle, the driver sped away toward the mall entrance and then ran into the mall, according to police.
The officer chased the woman and eventually arrested both suspects, police said.
In addition to the victim's wallet and credit cards, officers also found several other credit cards belonging to other people, according to the release.
Police charged Bonnie Marie Stauffer, 34, of Huntingtown, with theft, being rogue and vagabond, possession of burglary tools, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and other related offenses. She was also served with six outstanding arrest warrants.
Police charged Cassandra Lynneanne Leroux, 23, of Arnold, with theft, being rogue and vagabond, possession of burglary tools and other related offenses.
